MOVEMENT IS THE LANGUAGE OF THE BRAIN
The brain can change. It has the potential to expand, rewire, and improve.
The brain organizes your movement. And thus— improve your movement and you can improve your brain.
Injuries, trauma, birth, and disease may leave you feeling disconnected, disorganized, and hopeless.
You try so hard, but without the guidance your system needs for neuroplastic change, your efforts can feel futile. You may be wondering who will help you when you don’t have a clue where to start. I can help you.
I am Michelle Mark, I have a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, and Nursing, am an Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement® practitioner and a Health and Wellness Coach. I teach therapeutic movement and support you in healthy behaviour change.
I will guide you to explore your potential to live well using approaches that tap into the plasticity of the brain, and improve the organization of your body. I will help you feel empowered, confident, and in control.
It sounds so simple right? Gentle movement lessons given in a safe and supportive learning environment. Nourishment for both your brain and body. As your brain improves, your movement organization is also upgraded. Suddenly, you think better, you move better, your whole life feels better. Each session with you is individually crafted. No matter where you are right now, I can help you to improve in both mind and body.
Are you —
Recovering from an injury or struggling with a limiting diagnosis?
Pregnant or postpartum and feeling unsure of what you are capable of?
Hoping to improve athletic performance?
Feeling uncomfortable in your own body?
Or perhaps these words describe the experience of your child and you are feeling overwhelmed with disjointed systems and you are searching for a more holistic approach?
THE ANAT BANIEL METHOD OF NEUROMOVEMENT®
The Anat Baniel Method® of Neuromovement® is a holistic, learning-based approach that uses movement and awareness to upgrade the brain. This gentle, hands-on approach provides your brain with sensory information that creates new neural pathways and the potential to not only decrease pain and improve motor function, but also to improve cognitive function.
ABM Neuromovement® originated from the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais using the science of neuroplasticity to help clients move out of pain, surpass limiting diagnoses, recover from injury and exceed performance expectations. I combine this modality with my training and experience as a Registered Nurse and Kinesiologist to offer you a holistic approach to therapy, rehabilitation and learning.
